QUESTION FROM junkman1249
need a good pressure tank for my well any ideas
ANSWER FROM POLICY-Wizard™
Dear junkman1249:
If you need to replace your pressure tank for your water well, I would suggest first considering why your current pressure tank has failed. Tanks usually fail from cycling too much. The repeated cycling causes the bladder inside to bend back and forth, and this repeated stress leads to it failing (like bending a piece of metal back and forth, after a while it eventually breaks). Also, repeated cycling is hard on your well pump, and can cause it to fail prematurely as well. If your pressure tank has failed because your system is cycling too frequently, then you have two options for reducing the cycling time: 1) replace your pressure tank with a much larger size one; or 2) a much better solution can be to have a "cycle stop valve" installed in your system.
Hope this is helpful.
